Informational Belief
Throughout history belief in a deity has been paramount to cultures around the world, in our modern globalised society secularisation and informational technology contributes to the emergence of religious belief on an international scale. Concepts of meditation, mindfulness and karma have come to the west and Christianity has spread through the East, showing individuals can now choose individual beliefs. Over 50% of the worlds population now has access to the internet, showing an interesting relationship between Information and Belief. Through this academic project, I interviewed a Tibetan Buddhist Monk, Esoteric Universalist, Catholic Priest, Mormon Bishop and a Sikh; these offered an real insight into the opinions and purpose of information in modern society.
My final university project, which involved interviewing people about the effects of the internet on religion. Thank you.
