Protecting the Rain Forest
Koh Sok National Park, based in Surat Thani, Thailand hosts thousands of animals and plant species. Hundreds of park rangers protect the area to maintain the bio-diversity of the rainforest and National Park. After spending a few days with park rangers it was apparent the interconnectedness and understanding they had of the area. Some of these park rangers make money to further the protection of the land through tourism, which involves staying on the lake viewing limestone mountains, lakes, valleys and wild animals. Many of our problems evolve around progress and greed, as a species we must start protecting all life because it is vital to our existence. Throughout the past few years I have met many people who devote their lives to sustaining the beauty that surrounds us and I am grateful for the many selfless people who put causes before themselves.
